Enamel is powdered glass that gets heated at 1200-1400 degrees to fuse onto the surface of the metal. In this class you will learn how to add layers of this colorful enamel on copper. Students will saw out and form their contemporary shapes to be used as various components of jewelry.
We will be using a kiln in this class to fuse the layers of transparent and opaque enamels. Some of the techniques used will be stamping and separation enamels.
